Emma Kanter is a filmmaker based in Brooklyn, NY and Los Angeles, CA. Emma has been working in film, television, and commercial production for eight years. When not on Hollywood TV & Film sets, Emma directs, produces, and edits music videos, fashion films, and short narrative films. The thousands of hours spent on professional sets, along with an extensive background in low-budget, guerilla-style indie filmmaking translates to a production savvy and incredible worth ethic. She excels in collaborating with artists on a unique vision that enhances their art with visuals that set them apart from the onslaught of rote digital video content.
Emma is an avid traveler and in 2016 she spent 5 weeks volunteering in a refugee camp in mainland Greece where she filmed a series of interviews with refugees telling the story of their involuntary encampment in their own words. The resulting documentary "While We Wait" is currently in post-production.
Currently Emma is developing multiple television pilots and a feature length screenplay in LA, where she works as Script Coordinator for the ABC show, Station 19.
